This Position: 

Seeking Policy Specialist or HR Analyst with 10 years of experience in Federal HR writing and reviewing human capital policies, standard operating procedures, and training presentations.

Responsibilities: 
  • Review existing human capital policies (Instructions, Directives, and SOPs) to ensure alignment with current laws and federal regulations
  • Draft and edit policy on various human capital functional areas in accordance to Title 5 laws and regulations and OPM guidelines
  • Create program management documents to include:  SOPs, training presentations, management guides, memorandums, process maps, and diagrams
  • Develop program management documents to include:  competitive/excepted/SES hiring, merit promotion plans, hiring flexibilities, classification, FERS/CSRS, leave administration, performance, and compensation
  • Create training materials to include PowerPoint presentations and briefings for agency HR staff, management, and employees

 

Requirements: 
  • Knowledge of OPM policies and guidelines and Title 5 laws and regulations
  • 10 years’ of technical writing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
