The Workforce Analytics & Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting agency’s human capital needs, delivering data visualizations using business intelligence tools and analyzing reports for workforce planning and development.

Skills and Abilities: 
  • Consult with government stakeholders to understand, document, and support their human capital data needs.
  • Gather business requirements to design, develop, and deliver interactive data visualizations or reports using business intelligence and other DHS (Department of Homeland Security) reporting tools.
  • Develop, analyze, and report on relevant metrics for workforce planning and development and other strategic human capital programs.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to the business by connecting data from multiple sources to provide insightful and actionable analyses.
  • Utilize various DHS reporting tools to manipulate and manage data and create scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
  • Define, develop and implement best practices for data cleansing, validation, metric formulation and general quality control.
  • Conduct other data mining, data consulting, and descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics as required.
  • 2+ years DHS data analytics preferred;
  • 5+ years of data analytics and visualization experience;
  • Familiarity with DHS software and systems (Insight/PMSO, Axis, FastHire, etc.);
  • Proficiency with Tableau;
  • Knowledge of Oracle HCM;
  • Human Resources processes and data;
  • Data analysis, research methods and ability to prepare analytic reports;
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Data visualization;
  • Organizational development or internal consulting;
  • Interpreting, presenting and explaining data;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources or equivalent experience is required.
